Giant Zoetrope

From Plesiosaur to Space Station

Visitors become time travellers with the giant zoetrope in Science Centre Singapore. HKD worked with animation artist Sebastian Burdon to develop this spectacular exhibit for Singapore Science Centre.

The zoetrope is a 21st century version of William George Horner’s 1834 invention, originally called a Daedalum. This modern zoetrope brings together 3D printing, strobe lighting and UK engineering to create a spectacular sculpture which comes to life before your eyes.
